Hello From Camp Joy Florida

Well hello. It’s been a minute. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I can’t do it all. I can’t keep up with social media, homeschool the older boys, entertain the preschoolers, work on manuscripts, and write a weekly blog.

I’ll just be over here doing the best I can. Thanks for hanging in their with me!

Last week I worked at Camp Joy in Lake Wales, Florida. The week could not have come at a better time. I needed to get away. While there’s nothing restful about Camp Joy, it’s the perfect place to clear your head and adjust your priorities. A perfect reminder that life is genuinely good and worth celebrating. A perfect reminder that there’s a whole community of people who would thank God for the circumstances I complain about.

I rolled back into South Carolina with an overflowing cup. Mentally refreshed. (It lasted a whole twenty four hours!)

Now for the photo drop…

Before the campers arrived, the counselors took part in team building exercises. (Notice I said counselors. Not photographer. Nope, no thank you).
I need one of these hats. Like, really need one.

Until next year…
