Lots of great things are on the horizon.
Number one, I’ve relaunched my newsletter! Click here to read + subscribe. Subscribing is not hard. Seriously, even Faye did it. Probably takes (less than) five minutes. Once it’s done, it’s done. Payments are 100% secure – $7 will be automatically drafted from your account each month and I promise you won’t even miss it! 😆 I’ve included a little blurb explaining why I’m charging. The easiest way to think of it is like a magazine subscription. Substack is an easy-to-use platform that’s growing in popularity among bloggers + writers. Asking readers to pay a small fee to read your words is (very) uncomfortable. I’m uncomfortable right now talking with you about it. Having said that, it’s also a great way for me to draw a tiny bit of supplemental income in exchange for a lot of time and research.
For those of you who’ve already signed up, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I have great plans for ways to thank you along the way for your support. It’ll be worth the price of your coffee!
Number two, I’ve been working a lot with my publisher the past couple of weeks. I’m getting more and more excited.

JP and I went to Barnes & Noble this week. Did I prop the proof of my cover up on one of the tables and take a picture? Yes I did! I’m so pleased with how the cover came out. Yesterday we met with one of my favorite local authors (and mentor) to discuss school visits. Hello my GCSD family, book me for a school visit! We’ll have so much fun!
My other manuscript is coming along – the one I have to offer this publisher. If it’s turned down, (as they often are), I’ll be back at square one looking for an agent.
Like I said, lots of new and exciting things taking place. My head stays in a spinning motion these days. I’m so, so grateful to God for open doors and His constant provision.
JP and I are cutting out tomorrow and hitting the road for an early weekend getaway. I’m looking forward to some one-on-one time with him. It’s RARE that he agrees to go out of town with me. We’re heading to Atlanta for a quick visit to see his dad. One of his BFFs is joining us which we’re both looking forward to. Taking friends makes the games a little more bearable for him, LOL. At least it’s not supposed to be in the 90’s. Praise God.
Happy (early) Weekend!
