Halloween has come and gone. Now it’s time for my favorite month of the year. This will be the first year, since I was a little girl, that I’ve not been at the beach for Thanksgiving.
Cue. The. Tears.
Like, really. I’ve teared up multiple times. I’m not sad that we’ll be celebrating with the family. And ,it’ll be nice to be with dad and JP. We almost booked a place at Lake Lure, but ended up not doing that either. We’ll be home the whole week. Preston is not happy. Poor guy. I remember being his age and obsessed with Ocean Lakes. Looks like he’ll have to wait until July. We do already have that week on the books.
Halloween was very low key this year.

Faye, Jack, Laurie, and Preston went to their annual Halloween dinner with baseball friends. Preston ended up in a giraffe onesie after telling us for months he wasn’t planning to dress up. This is the last time we listen to him.

JP and I sat with the twins while J and Meg took Linen trick or treating. The boys go to bed early. We watched the new Five Nights At Freddy’s movie JP has been waiting to see. I didn’t hate it!

We got to spend the day with Jackson Friday because his school was closed. Our perfect fall day included walking around Travelers Rest + eating at Sidewall Pizza in downtown Greenville.

Jackson says the Greenville location is “10/10.” His words. I agree.

They currently have Thanksgiving inspired desserts on the menu. The Pumpkin Cheesecake is YUM.

Posting this pic I snapped on the Swamp Rabbit Trail because the trees are majestic. I love the aesthetic of Travelers Rest United Methodist Church.
Book Update: Nothing new from the publisher, but I do have some exciting news. I’ve mentioned before that I have to offer this publisher my next manuscript. We have one we’ve been working on, but sat it aside (briefly). I can’t give details, but my sister and I are writing a new one together! The original idea and the research is hers. I’m just writing the story. I’ve rejoined my writer’s critique group and will carry the idea to them. It’s going to be really cute!
I’m going to drop a few links to recent Greenville stories…

I’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received in this new writing venture. To you, it’s only $7. To me and mom, it’s priceless. We appreciate you more than you know!
