Have you been following the devastation in Western North Carolina? Seeing the suffering in the community has me feeling depressed. I thought I’d share Happy Helicopter Tours’ Facebook page. They have set up a GoFundMe and are collecting supplies at Runway Cafe at the Greenville downtown airport.

They’re collecting supplies from 9-5 through Friday. They may be collecting after Friday, that is just the information I read yesterday.
Are we the only people riding around every day looking for places to eat? Yesterday, we stumbled upon Rustic Farms Pizza Co. on White Horse Road. We didn’t actually stumble upon it, they’ve been feeding some of the storm teams this week. Jack told us to stop by because he loved their pizza!

The staff was super friendly and the food was fresh. They are taking cash AND cards. Our grocery stores are having a tough time keeping shelves stocked and a lot of spots aren’t accepting cards. Rustic Farms is a little on the expensive side, but the portions are generous, so it’s easy to share!
I hope all of you are hanging in there. Everyone under our roof is good. Jack is still working around the clock, but he’s good too. Keep our power employees in your prayers. It’s a hard and thankless job, especially during times like this. Most of these men (and women) do not have power either and are doing all they can to restore power to the community and beyond. If you see a crew while you’re out and about, be sure to thank them!
