Sunday In Awesome Alpharetta

We checked out of our hotel around 10:30 so we could get to The Slime Factory by 11. Prior to arriving, we envisioned a Nickelodeon Double Dare situation going down. My hair was clean, so I wasn’t 100% looking forward to that.

The Slime Factory located inside North Point Mall

I am happy to report, the experience was not at all what I had dreamed up. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Since our boys are all grown up, we borrowed a couple of cuties!
We completed the Slime Workshop! JP would be so proud.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I wish I could upload the video of Nanny. Although she’ll never admit it, she struggled with her masterpiece and had to ask for assistance. 😂

Next up, brunch at Snooze.

I know you’re having a tough time believing that I didn’t order brunch. (For those who don’t know, breakfast food is my love language). “What had happened was…” I saw this BBQ sammie WITH BACON JAM on the menu and I was done. I’m not typically a BBQ girl, but I am a bacon jam girl. If you’ve not had it, you’re missing out.

We spent the rest of the afternoon walking downtown before getting on the road. Alpharetta is gorgeous. Tomorrow I’ll share more about their scarecrows + Art In The Park.

We made it to Greenville with little to no traffic. As much as I love to travel, it feels so good to be home. I’m not even cracking my calendar till in the morning. I have no idea what I have going on this week.

Laurie and I are researching volunteer opportunities to help with hurricane relief. Some of you have asked what you can do. A couple of places we’ve found where every dime of your donation goes directly to our neighbors in North Carolina: Montgomery Sky Farm (click the link on their website to give) and Tryon Equestrian Center (check out their Facebook page to fill out a Google Doc Form to volunteer). Greenville County Schools is also feeding families throughout Greenville.

Thoughts & prayers to all of you. Goodnight!
