I started another book. “The Girl From Widow Hill” by Megan Miranda. I’m excited about this one. Unfortunately, I’ve not had quite as much time to read this week. I do have something exciting (at least to me) to share…
I’ve started working on a whole new manuscript! It’s a big deal because I have one that is probably 80% ready. The new idea came to me this week out of nowhere. I’ve already written over a page, which for me is good – means it’s flowing. I took it to my writer’s critique group last night and got constructive criticism and suggestions. We’re not doing away with the other manuscript, but I might offer this one to my publisher first. We’ll see how much I get done over the next few weeks. A year and a half will go by in the blink of an eye, so I need to buckle down and focus.

In other news, I am heading to GVL Fest this weekend. Take a look at that line-up!! I’ve been waiting for this weekend! It is going to be amazing. As of right now, I’m most excited to see Jon Pardi (duh), Whiskey Myers, The Red Clay Strays, Chase Rice, and Parmalee. Also, it’s cool enough to wear my jeans and cowboy boots! Woo! Thank you, October, I love you.

Before the festival on Sunday, I’m going to swing by the Meyer Center Polo Classic at Hopkins Farm. I’m going to share a link for you guys to see how you can give! The school has a goal to raise $125,000 to add another classroom that will hold ten students. Obviously, this charity is close to my heart. Every little bit helps.
In less important news, It was brought to my attention the other day that someone wasn’t able to pull up my Instagram account. I’m not even a little bit sure what happened, but I’ve tested it from another account I run, and it’s there now, so hopefully whatever happened is corrected! Be sure you’ve clicked “follow” so my content will show up in your feed. Thanks, girl, for letting me know!
