I am SO tired. What is it about the beach that makes you so exhausted at the end of the day? Today was as close to perfect as you can get. At least in my book.

Let’s start at the beginning.

Our day started with an early morning walk on the beach…

When I tell you I was in a literal heaven…
I wrote on one of my Instagram stories that I was in a state of euphoria. There’s nowhere in the world I’d rather be than sitting on a secluded stretch of beach, listening to the ocean waves.

Next, we went to the Lost Dog Cafe for brunch…

Best sweet tea and cinnamon rolls on the planet!

Our little yellow oasis in the sand…

The most breathtaking sunset…

Then we took a trip to see the holiday lights at James Island County Park…

I might have teared up a little on the train ride through the lights. My family used to camp at James Island every year during Thanksgiving. We had the best holiday traditions. Mom was so happy riding around, showing Jackson all the lights. Meanwhile, our boys are half grown back home, living their best life because we’re not there! LOL

Seriously, it was the best day. Please forgive whatever grammatical mistakes I might be making. No time for edits – I’m about to fall asleep sitting here!

We have reservations at Poogan’s Porch tomorrow for brunch! Laurie and Allyson have never been, which makes it even more exciting!
