*Edited to add: he has pneumonia and came home with two antibiotics. Hopefully he’ll be better in a day or two*
I’m writing this from the emergency room. This time, with JP. He’s had a fever since Monday. He runs high fevers. Typically I don’t worry too much over them, but five days is a little too long for my comfort. At night, Ibuprofen and Tylenol haven’t been as effective, so here we are.

Flashback: when JP was around two years old, we rushed him to the hospital for a fever. Once we got there, it registered over 106! He didn’t have a seizure, which was concerning to everyone.
Those of you who know JP, know how anxious he gets with any type of illness. I put off coming here for as long as possible. I probably have more anxiety than he does! Keeping him calm is not an easy job. I need an emotional support person with me right now. 😵💫🤪
All joking aside, he’s actually done a pretty good job. He even did all the talking with the doctor – answered all of his questions! I was so proud. Usually, he shuts down and I have to do all the talking.
JP has so many phobias. He’s been on edge since Nanny was in the hospital. Now, he’s sick.
So that has pretty much been my week. Hopefully, he’ll start feeling better soon and things can get back to normal!
