An Update

Thanksgiving is over and I’m sad. However, I’m not sad that it’s 4:09 pm and I’m STILL in my pajamas. Nothing sad about that. Pathetic maybe, but not sad. Not having to get up and dressed for the day is both a pro and con of my job(s). I have to admit, some days I feel like a total sloth, even if I’ve been productive.

Tyler Goes To School

I have gotten a few messages asking how things are going with my book. I thought I’d answer here. Everything is going well. The book is selling, even though I won’t see the fruits of that until March <<insert crying emojis>>. Grab your calendars and add these two dates: (next) Saturday, December 14th and Saturday, January 18th! Next week, (the 14th) Tyler and I will be at the TR bookstore again (As The Page Turns) for their author and artisan market. I’m super excited because it’s the same day as the Travelers Rest Christmas Parade, which means we should see a LOT of foot traffic! On January 18th, we’ll be in the lobby of M. Judson Bookstore on Main Street, downtown. Cannot wait!

With everything that’s happened the past few months, the hurricane and then mom being sick, we’ve put off school visits and media appearances until after the holidays.

We are polishing off the next manuscript this week! It’s pretty much complete. I just want to share it with a few people to get their input before finalizing everything. Once it’s finished, I’ll submit it to my publisher and keep my fingers crossed!

While working on that manuscript, another story was born. I began writing the new book a few weeks ago. I think it has lots of potential. If I can manage to stay focused, I could potentially have two manuscripts written and submitted within this next year. Might be wishful thinking, but it’s definitely a goal!

Emily Henry

I’m not writing book reviews here, but this is a new author that has RUINED every other book for me. A friend introduced me to Henry this year. I read “Happy Place” and loved it. Last week, I read “Funny Story” and I can barely even function. I’m calling it my Gilmore Girls book, cause I promise ya, I’ll read it more than once.

*Disclaimer: she gets a little “spicy,” so keep that in mind when deciding if you wanna read her books*

Friendsgiving

Saturday night, we had a Friendsgiving meal with Heather, Jane, and Cassie at Cracker Barrel. JP was there, he just didn’t want me to take his picture.

I guess that’s a about it. We have plans to buy a Christmas tree and decorate this week. Whether it will actually happen is another story. I’ll let you know!
