Christmas Weekend in Greenville

I told y’all, I love all the Christmas experiences! We had a lovely little Hallmark weekend.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Preston, in all of his middle school glory, has outgrown most of our fun, family outings. Pictured above is a statue of Joel Poinsett – an integral piece of our city’s history. A history he’s learned about many times. All Preston kept saying was, “I’m ready to go home, I don’t really care about the tree and Thomas Jefferson or whoever that man is.”

I cannot with him.

Once his people showed up, he was all good

Poinsettia Christmas Parade

Saturday night, Laurie, mom and I took Jackson to the parade. We always have the best time (thanks to the City of Greenville), but I think this one was the BEST yet… definitely the longest! Jackson had a ball!

My favorite pic of the night – I edited one to black & white too

Sunday afternoon, Nanny and I went to see Tyler in the Marietta Christmas Parade – cutest snowman ever!

Tree Update

Those who are wondering, we’ve still not gotten a tree. Clearly, we’re not going today (our original plan) or tomorrow in the rain. It looks like we’ll be dragging the artificial tree down from the attic instead.

Contrary to how it may look, we ARE in the Christmas spirit!

Happy Monday, y’all!
