Journal Entry #5

How was everyone’s weekend?

Mine was GREAT, even though I’m sitting on the couch trying to decide if I have a herniated disc OR sciatica. You guys don’t wanna hear about my old lady ailments, but please say a prayer for my lower back. M’kay, thanks.

Friday night, I went with Amy (ex sister-in-law) and Kim (ex mother-in-law) to Newberry Opera House to see Mat & Savanna Shaw.

The daddy-daughter duo gives me goosebumps! Their sound is unbelievable, their harmony not even real. I know how difficult it can be to sing and they make it seem so effortless.

If you ever have the opportunity to see one of their shows, do it!

Saturday morning we had a book signing at M. Judson Booksellers on Main Street in downtown Greenville.

Tyler, me, and my friend, Harrison (Harrison’s dad, David, owns the Greenville media site where I’m editor) How cute is he?!?

Also, pictured behind me, is JP who never wakes up before 11 am (he doesn’t sleep well at night). He told me to wake him up so he could “be there” for me. I love his heart so much!

Am I officially an adult because I drank a small coffee?

Sunday evening, Laurie, Josh and I went to Mac’s Speed Shop for dinner. Love, love, love the food and the prices are reasonable.

This week isn’t going to be too busy. I have a lot of writing to do, some reading to catch up on, AND I think I’m ready to submit my second manuscript to my publisher.

I will do the majority of this lying on a bag of ice!
