Our Weekend With Jackson

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve spent a significant amount of time with Jackson. I stayed with him this weekend while his parents went out of town. It was so good to hang out!

Friday night, we went to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. We got to experience the Sensory Suite, which was everything I’d hoped it would be. I’ve never been to the arena with JP and Jackson when we didn’t have to leave early. Neither of them can handle the crowds, lights and sounds.

How is it possible that I didn’t even know this was an option?

The night was a HUGE hit! JP even sent me a text that said, “mama I really had fun tonight. It wasn’t overwhelming at all.”

We’re working on a feature for the Greenville site, I’ll share the link when it’s published.

Saturday, we took Preston and three of his friends to Paris Mountain State Park to fish. There are not enough words in the English language to express how badly I DID NOT want to spend the day in the woods. But I did it because, as Preston likes to remind me, “you love me, Wags!”

Yes, you spoiled little ball of hormones, I love you. So, we sweated our way through the park.

That was our weekend.

This week is off to a productive start. JP’s application to be one of the featured artists at Downtown Alive this summer was approved. He’s been working hard on those pieces.

Happy Monday, everybody!
