I’m writing this from the bed in our hotel room. This week, we’re partnering with the Wilkesboro Tourism Board to showcase the area to our Greenville family! When I told people (who shall remain nameless) that we were coming here for the weekend, they said, “Why? There’s nothing to do in Wilkesboro.”
Well, we’re here to prove them wrong!
I’m not going to write everything tonight. I’m exhausted, and I want to save the good stuff for our feature over on Greenville360.
Our new friends in Wilkesboro sent us to three wineries this afternoon, each ridiculously breathtaking.
Storytime

On the way to the first winery, I was telling mom and Laurie how cheap the flights (of wine) were and how we needed to be sure and highlight the price points because they were so affordable. Mom was dumbfounded – she couldn’t believe that you could “board an airplane” and fly anywhere for that amount of money!
Tell me you’ve never been to a winery without telling me you’ve never been to a winery.
We plan to share a separate post for each spot because their stories are so unique.

The last thing on today’s itinerary was dinner at Amalfi’s Pizzeria. I have so much to say about this spot, so stay tuned…
We’ll be up with the sun in the morning to explore more of Wilkesboro before heading to MerleFest!
