Like I said, we are in Charleston this weekend to cover the Holy Smokes BBQ Festival at Riverfront Park. I’m not going to write a WHOLE bunch about it here – I’ll save it for the Greenville story.
This is my third year covering the event. The money raised goes to Pediatric Brain Cancer families and the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston. It’s personal. I have so many wonderful childhood memories from the RMH.
My ONLY regret is that I’m sitting here in jeans and cowboy boots, dripping sweat. WHO KNEW 73 COULD BE SO HOT?! Insert all the crying face emojis. Next year, when I announce this trip, someone please remind me of this moment and make me pack a pair of shorts!

I’ve missed our frequent trips to Charleston. We’re thinking it’s time to start them up again!
