We had the unexpected surprise of being out of school last Monday.  I saw something on social media about Looking Glass Falls being frozen, so we thought it would be cool to see. Actually, I thought it would be one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunities. It did not disappoint!

When we got done with the waterfall, we headed up the road to Brevard for lunch.

This was my first time at Quotations Cafe and it hit the spot. They put spinach or something in their chicken salad and it was SO good!

On the way home we stopped off on the side of the road so the boys could throw rocks in the (frozen) river.

We had an amazing time! I can’t wait to go back to see the water when it’s not frozen over. There’s so much to do in Pisgah Forest. Needless to say, you can stay tuned for more adventures.
