Morris Island Lighthouse

We traveled two weeks ago for the first time in over three months! It felt SO good to be back on the road.

If you’re like me, you’re going stir crazy at home. I thought I’d take you on a virtual trip through our day.

This was my first trip to the Morris Island Lighthouse. Rather than walk the path down the gravel road, we chose to hike down the beach. And by we, I mean me. Faye planted her beach bum in the sand to people watch while I sweated my way to the end of the proverbial rainbow.

Instead, an old fisherman took up most of my head space telling me all about his new YouTube channel. I smiled and entertained his enthusiasm, all the while praying for an exit.

Twenty (long) minutes later, it came.

I’ve wanted to try out Shem Creek Bar & Grill forever.

Our view was the icing on top of an already sweet day.

And the food… let’s just say we cannot wait to go back! I didn’t order fried seafood – my favorite food – OR sweet tea. It was quite the challenge here, but I powered through. Somebody send me a medal.

dsc07392Things have been crazy lately, but my goal is to be consistent again with my posts. We are working in the Charleston next week and I plan to blog from the road. Stay tuned!

HAPPY WEEKEND!
