We spent our last day on the island crabbing, skim boarding and kayaking.

I am laying here (in Columbia, we’ll get to that in a minute) trying to decide how to describe this week to you.

Perfect. That’s all I’ve been able to come up with – everything from the weather to the company.

Of course, Preston met friends right before we were supposed to head home.

We ended up staying later. I was exhausted by the time we got home, but I don’t regret the extra time spent with friends.

Preston came home to a weekend baseball tournament and mom and I headed back out of town for work.

I’m sitting here in the Graduate Hotel Columbia enjoying the quiet.

We’re here for a couple of reasons. One, I had a ton of work to get done and working at home is too difficult. Two, we’re researching and doing some writing about the State Hospital. I can’t wait to share more. It’s PERFECT Halloween content! 👻
