Originally, Preston was going to finish out his elementary years in public school. For whatever reason, he changed his mind. We enrolled him in a private school. At the very last minute, he asked if he could, “just be homeschooled again?”

Here we are. We paid for his curriculum months ago, and plan to use it.
I have to admit, I’m thrilled. I love having everyone home, learning under one roof.

I ordered JP this High School Homeschooling journal. It is designed for teens with ADHD, Dyslexia, and/or Autism. It’s library-based learning, and allows you to move at your own pace, following topics you’re passionate about. Perfect for JP + his anxiety. From what I can tell, it looks like it’s going to be a good fit. I’ll write up a review in a few weeks.

As far as Mr. Jackson goes, he’s pretty much ready for kindergarten! 😆 But seriously. He knows his colors, counts to ten, and talks in full sentences. He won’t be two until October! I’m amazed. A perfect example of what reading books from infancy can do.
He loves anything to do with animals and the ocean. We watch lots of documentaries, educational programs, and check out all the library books pertaining to those subjects.
I’m excited to see where his mind carries him!

Obviously we’re in the honeymoon period. Check back in a month or two…
