Waymaker

My head feels all jumbled up, but in the best way.

Let me start off by making sure you’ve all heard the song Waymaker. There are several versions. If not, give it a listen – soon.

Today has been a series of tiny miracles. (Altho there are no tiny miracles).

Our morning started out with an answer to a prayer, and it snowballed from there. I won’t go into detail, but it’s been a really good day! I went overboard celebrating because can we agree there’s not been much to celebrate lately?

It’s difficult to enjoy life when the world seems to be falling apart.

Waymaker is the song I turn to when I need to thank God or praise Him for something specific. I blast it in the car. I’m the crazy person at the red light with no awareness of my surroundings.

I especially love listening to it when I’m feeling anxious. Bottom line, the song is really important to me.

When the boys and I got home from lunch, my cousin messaged me a video of her little girl singing Waymaker. I began to ugly cry. The kind of cry that brings JP and Preston in from the other room.

“You can’t imagine how timely this is!” I told her.

“It’s all God,” she said. “We made this video a week or so ago. I felt like I needed to send it to you today.”

Maybe you’ve forgotten.

Maybe you don’t know.

Or maybe you’re like me and have allowed the state of the world to steal your peace.

But the truth has not changed. God is good. God is faithful.

He is the Waymaker. Miracle Worker. Promise Keeper…

Our Light in the Darkness.
