Most of the family is at Preston’s ballgame. I stayed home because Scott (my ex, JP’s dad) came to get JP. He’s eighteen and could leave with his dad without me being here, but I like to be here. Well, I say he could. He has trouble waking up on his own. He doesn’t hear his alarm. His brain doesn’t shut off until after midnight, so he sleeps later. My sister is the same way. Her best work happens in the late afternoon/evening hours. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it. JP (and Laurie) have lower serotonin levels. Serotonin naturally converts to melatonin in the evenings, so those levels are lower too. Your physiology lesson for the day!
All that to say, I’m not at the ballgame, I’m not at church. I’m sitting all alone in an empty house reading.

Verity. Who’s read it? I’m only on chapter three and already hooked. I love that the main character is an author. It’s going to be a movie too!
Speaking of authors…

Tyler and I were at our second market at As The Page Turns Saturday. Please note how the table is adorned with fall decor. I know you are proud.(Thank you, Debbie!)
We had the most beautiful day. The sun was shining and you could just feel that people were thankful to be out of their houses – weekend routines re-established. While I was thankful for the busy street and good sales, catching up with family and friends was my favorite part of the day. The most important part of the day.

Okay, I started Verity this morning and finished it this evening! I haven’t read a book this good in a long time. I literally was annoyed when it was time to meet my family for lunch. “Wonder if I can take it with me in the car and read when the lights turn red,” I thought to myself. Don’t worry, I didn’t.
*Disclaimer: it’s… how should I say this… SPICY (to quote a friend). If you’re uncomfortable with language and sexual content, ya might wanna steer clear. If ya don’t steer clear, don’t come cryin’ to me because this is your warning!*

We also finished this mini-series. Loved it all the way UNTIL the end. I won’t ruin it for you, but Laurie and I were both disappointed.
Alright, I’m off to bed! Happy (almost) Monday!
