Hey, Hi, Hello

Geez! I JUST realized I’ve not published a post since the beach. I am so sorry! I do have an explanation. If you don’t follow along on social media OR subscribe to our newsletter, you are probably out of the loop.

Nanny came home from vacation and spent the week in the hospital. Long story short, she had a UTI while we were at the beach. She treated it with over-the-counter meds and it got better. Once we got home, she started running a fever. I took her to Urgent Care, who sent us to the ER at NGU Prisma in Travelers Rest (she needed a CT scan). They treated her for a kidney infection and, after a round of IV antibiotics, sent her home on an oral antibiotic. The doctor said they would call if the blood cultures came back positive for infection.

Well, guess what happened. One of the cultures came back positive so she had to be admitted for IV meds. Fast forward two and a half days and we still weren’t in a room. They did move us to Admit Pending, aka a holding cell that was nicer than sitting in the middle of the ER lobby, where we “pended” until discharge.

A room became available as we were packing up to leave. No thank you! We chose to go home and wait while the lab monitored the cultures. The doctor called on July 4th (which we thought was nice) with the good news that Nanny is infection free! They’re keeping her on the antibiotic for another seven days, as a precaution because of her pacemaker.

It’s been a crazy week. 4th of July weekend was low-key. Heather and Cassie came over for swimming and takeout.

Papa John’s for the win!

Update on JP

Another one of his big paintings sold at the coffee shop over the weekend! That was exciting!

He’s working hard to get ready for his two markets next week.

This is one of the pendants made from the leftover paint from his big Clemson print. One of our friends shared it on Facebook.

We’re so grateful for everyone’s support!
