I don’t even know where to begin.
Don’t get too excited. It’s not that I have anything groundbreaking to share. BUT… I do have a whole hodgepodge of random information I thought I would dump in your lap.
The easiest thing to do is to make a list:
- I bought a new book (shocker) and what I’ve read so far is mind-blowing.

One of the stories is written about the parsonage near where my dad and his brothers grew up. The title is called The Parsonage from Hell, btw. I will be sharing LOTSSSS more from this book in the near future.
Fun Fact: the author is Jason Profit who founded Greenville Ghost Tours. May he rest in peace.

2. JP and I explored Fountain Inn for a few hours today. We learned a lot. Specifically that a few hours is not nearly long enough to spend in Fountain Inn.

The entire town is dressed up for Halloween. These skeletons were everywhere and hilarious!

3. I’ve stumbled upon a new (well, new to me) inn.

Have any of you heard of the Tanglewood Inn? It’s located right here in Greenville and has an incredibly fascinating history! I’m only about halfway down the rabbit hole. Once I’ve collected all my research, I will share everything with you.
Spoiler Alert: it’s no coincidence I found this property in October. 😉

4. We had an exciting field trip planned for this Friday. Unfortunately, we aren’t going to make it. Too many stuffy noses and coughs floating around. We decided that locked in a car together for a two hour drive was not the best idea.
We’ll still do something. Probably a playground or anything outside.
We’ve been studying US History and just wrapped up our unit on South Carolina and the Catawba. We made pottery, corn cakes (pictured above) and I wanted to take them to the Catawba River at Landsford Canal State Park. We’ll get there, it’ll just have to wait a bit longer.
Those who know me will be pleased to hear that Preston taught the kindergarten math lesson this week. Also pictured above.
Okay, I’m done for now. Thanks for giving me a place to unravel the jumbled up mess that is my brain!
Stay tuned for more…
