Weekend Recap

Before we talk about the weekend, let me give three cheers for a beautiful Friday afternoon!

Laurie and I took the kids to Lake Robinson to fish and have a picnic. The weather was PERFECT – we could have stayed all day. I can’t think of a better way to kick off a weekend.

Also, someone pinch me because how is this my job?!

JP had a market in Travelers Rest Saturday. We were disappointed in the crowd, BUT he sold more than normal, which seems bizarre but we’re grateful!

We had to lay his canvases down because of the wind gusts. My least favorite part of markets. Altho we’ll take it over the heat any day.

Nanny was thrilled she got to hang her “cute little magnet-thingies,” as she calls them.

We had a Clemson section – you’re welcome, friends. The 8×10 painting sold, but the 4×5 and coasters are still available if anyone wants them. I’ll probably put them out at the coffee shop or the cafe in TR soon if I don’t hear from anyone.

Come on, guys, please take them off this Gamecock’s hands!

We do appreciate everyone who has supported JP. It means the world to all of us.

Today is Sunday and it’s been the most peaceful day. I peeled myself out of bed this morning – not gonna lie, I almost played hookie – and went to church. Afterwards, I met a friend for lunch.

I always forget how much I love Jason’s Deli. Their salad bar is 🔥! And, of course, you know I’m obsessed with chicken salad, so I could not have been happier.

Afterwards, I went to the coffee shop to restock JP’s shelf (mainly earrings) and hang a couple of paintings.

From there, I went on a search for a new bookstore I recently heard about. I’m not going to share it right now. I’m going to do a whole series on cute + cozy bookstores.

Today’s find was definitely cute.

Plus, I got a couple of books and a new canvas bag. A teacher can never have too many canvas bags.

Did I mention that I’ve not watched TV in almost a month? Well, I haven’t. I’ve been reading like a maniac. Stay tuned for a really big book(s) review.

I hope all of you have had a nice weekend. Thanks for following along!
