Well friends, another year has flown by. I mean, literally FLOWN by! Can you believe we are sitting in a brand new year? We always say, “time flies,” and “don’t blink…” etc.
2016 was pretty good to our family. Looking back, there’s not much to complain about. And when you’re a grown adult living at home with your entire family, that’s a SCORE!
I read a lot of blogs. The ones I’ve read today are reflecting on this past year and sharing New Year’s resolutions.
I don’t have anything like that for you. I think I’ve mentioned that I don’t do resolutions. I do not keep them. (I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned that too).
I have a handful of personal goals I’ve jotted down on paper. Most of them have something to do with my writing career and eating better. You’ll forgive me if I don’t share them publicly – I don’t want to jinx anything.
If you’ve set personal goals or written down resolutions, I wish you all the success in 2017!
We celebrated Teagan’s 1st birthday on Saturday. It was so much fun! She’s such a little ham.
Her face slays me. She’s either smiling and laughing or she’s looking at you like, “who are you and why the #*!! do you have that camera in my face?!”
I just #canthandle all the cuteness.
Here’s a pic of the precious family. Please ignore the golden penis-shaped birthday balloon in the background. I promise it was the number 1.
(How many of you just scrolled back up to look at the balloon?!)
JP ended up coming home early from his dad’s because he was sick, so our plans were pretty simple. He fell asleep while I cooked dinner for myself and baked chocolate chip cookies in the event that he woke up to ring in the new year, which he did.
I must say, it was really nice. I usually make plans for New Years Eve, so this was a welcomed change (except for the part where JP was sick).
HAPPY 2017! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
