lunch & laughs @ California Dreaming

JP had a doctor’s appointment one (mid) morning last week. I usually schedule his appointments for after school, but there was a cancellation so I took it. He needed to go. He is growing (funny how kids do that) and we are having to adjust his medication. I’ll elaborate more on that in another post.

Doctor’s appointments are not usually something I look forward to, but I was pleasantly surprised at how our day played out. The appointment didn’t last too long. We had plenty of time to eat lunch while we were out. The office is on Pelham road near 14 so I talked JP into going to California Dreaming with me. Can you say, YUM?!

I didn’t allow him to have his iPad during lunch – he had (or was forced, to hear him tell it) to play Tic Tac Toe with me on the children’s menu.

I am constantly taking pictures when we go out. Welcome to the life of a blogger.  JP is so funny – he is (almost) always a good sport with my camera, but when he “poses” he tends to look a little cheesy. My favorite times are when I am able to make him laugh to the point where he is not aware of the fact that I’m snapping his picture.

That’s what happened on this day. As you can see, we were in the car and he could NOT stop laughing. I can’t remember why.

Click, click, click.  And voila!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million more times… I love his face. There will come a day when he’s not around for me to capture these moments.

He’ll be too cool.

For now, I am going to take 100% advantage of my time with him. I appreciate you guys and am so happy you’re accompanying us on our journey!

Now, really quick before you go… I know this isn’t a “food diary” post, but I can’t close without sharing my love for California DreamingIn addition to the one-of-a-kind atmosphere, the food is UH-mazing.

img_20170118_135851I almost always get the California Dreaming salad. It’s a bowl FULL of fresh greens, egg, ham, turkey, almonds, bacon and tomatoes.

Is there a mouth-watering emoji? If so, insert HERE.

Oh, and drum roll please, I DID NOT EAT THE CROISSANT. How’s that for wheel power?! (It was the hardest thing I did that day…maybe that week).

The tea is equally as sweet! I even took some To Go. It was better than eating the bread, right?!

Thanks for stopping by, friends, and I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday!
