Hello, friends! We are home safe and sound. I really enjoyed my time away from the internet AND MY PHONE! Having said that, I am anxious to get back to work. And that’s almost 100% true.
The above picture is one of my favorites. We love to stand on the balcony of the ship and watch the US Coast Guard follow us out to sea. Don’t ask me why. It just really fascinates me. If I’m not mistaken, they guard us for the first twenty miles? Yeah, I think that’s right.
Once again, we had a very relaxing time. In fact, I read not one, but TWO books and was in bed by nine-thirty each night! We laid around all day, dressed for dinner, went to the early (aka clean) comedy show and made a b-line to our cabin. In other words, we were a big, fat group of lazy humans. And I am not sorry. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Of course, it’s always fun to come back to a new animal each night. Our cabin stewards are always so friendly and accommodating. We love taking the time to get to know them-they have such interesting lives and stories of their own.
I honestly do not have that many photos to share. I literally kept my phone in the safe inside our room the entire time. I brought it out to snap a few shots so I would have something to post when I got home. I truly unplugged.
These waters KILL me. Other than Honduras, this might be my favorite island. Don’t get me wrong, there’s not really anything to do, but that’s why it’s my favorite place. It’s quiet and beautiful. The water was way too cold for me. I got in for maybe ten minutes before I couldn’t take it any longer.
This was pretty much my scene for the whole day. Hence why I was able to read so much.
The food was amazing, as always. Again, these are the ONLY photos I took of my food, LOL.
We enjoyed the cookout on the island. This time, instead of eating in our lounge chairs, we sat picnic table style under a shelter.
The view wasn’t too shabby.
We had a really great week, but I promise I was ready to come home (for some reason, people do not believe me). I don’t know. I guess with all the upcoming changes for me and JP, I felt really anxious to be home with him. (More on those changes later).
I mentioned (several times) that I read a lot on the ship. This is a book I picked up a few weeks ago at M. Judson to take with me. I cannot bold this enough… if you do nothing else with your life this year, READ THIS BOOK! (Christi, if you’re reading this, ask me for this book the next time I see you!)
This story had me at the inside flap. I’m not going to tell you much about it. Basically, a perfect, suburban housewife finds herself in a lot of trouble and your job is to find out why.
Seriously. That’s all I am willing to tell you. Please let me know your thoughts once you finish.
Okay, that’s about it for today. I’m so excited for the weekend – we have next to nothing to do and I can’t wait!
