Nah… it’s the Upcountry History Museum!
Now’s the time to grab your superhero (details on ages at the end of this post) and take them for a visit. That’s just what we did one afternoon last week.
Superheroes and Superstars: The Works of Alex Ross is live NOW through June 3rd.
Superheroes and Superstars shares over one hundred pieces of original artwork, including sketches and models. I wasn’t able to photograph the pieces – you’ll have to settle for pictures of Preston on the steps. LOL
The gift shop is home to anything and everything Superhero.
While the exhibit is bright, colorful, and full of familiar faces, it IS a museum and not the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese. There is an area behind the gift shop with a few dress up clothes and Captain America’s shield, but keep that in mind if you have toddlers in tow. If you want to carry the younger kiddos, (and I think you should), carry them on the FIRST Thursday of the month from 5:30-8:30. There’s story time as well as other activities for kids. Click THIS LINK to read more about Neighborhood Nights. P.S IT’S FREE!
Preston gives it two thumbs up!
Afterwards, the sun was setting. It was a beautiful time of day to enjoy the grounds.
If you live in Greenville and haven’t visited the UHM, you should put it on your calendar. The museum is full of really fascinating displays.
*The grown-up children in your life (who have always enjoyed the shenanigans of Batman & Robin) will love the history of this exhibit *
