We had an opportunity to visit behind the scenes of Cirque Du Soleil’s first ice performance at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Right off the bat, understand that these photos do not do the experience justice. These artists are UH-MAZING!
The cast undergoes roughly sixty wardrobe changes during the show.
Four masterminds work in wardrobe. I was in complete awe watching them create.
This is the first time Cirque Du Soleil has performed on ice. The stunts were unbelievable off ice, I cannot imagine the skill it takes to do them while wearing skates. I don’t want to ruin the experience for you, definitely head to the Bon Secour’s website and grab your tickets! The show runs through August 12.
Opening Night came at the most perfect time. Yesterday was JP’s twelfth birthday, so he got the VIP treatment!
The VIP reception is where I was introduced to the World’s Best Chicken Pot Pie. That’s probably not it’s actual name, but it should be.
Although we obviously did not drink the bubbly, JP loved playing with the ice and smoke. And they were BLUE – his favorite color!
Time to find our seats…
I described it like this: The Big Apple Circus meets Disney on Ice meets So You Think You Can Dance.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and you will too. Click here to order tickets.
