Owner, Valerie Flynn, likes to give back to the community. “We’ve been blessed and I try to bless people.” This “Unique Boutique” is ten years old and specializes in gowns for all occasions.

Valerie has fitted girls for Special Needs Proms. One of the things that makes this shop so special is the variety of styles and sizes in stock. All ages and shapes will find exactly what they are looking for. Valerie’s has sizes from Double 0 to 30W – definitely something for every BODY.

Valerie interviews moms and girls about sizes, tastes, and budgets. She then sends moms on their way, while she works with girls to find the perfect prom or pageant dress. Speaking from experience shopping with offspring, any mom will tell you this is an invaluable service.

Customized, hand-made jewelry adds to the unique look every woman longs to create. Hello college girls, they’ve got necklaces just for you! I’ll take one in garnet and black, please. 

The “Unique Boutique” is new and improved since Ashton Link came on the scene. Ashton, a hometown girl, joined Valerie last year and has added her own fashion flair to the shop. After earning a Fashion Merchandising Degree (at her beloved USC), and working a year in California, Ashton decided to sprinkle her funky, gypsy-soul style back home, around her roots.

Every style for every taste can be found in one place. Barely off the beaten path, Valerie’s is located off Highway 81 in Powdersville.

The old expression “head to toe” certainly applies to this one-stop-shop.

Soft light and peaceful surroundings provide the perfect atmosphere for selecting wedding gowns, and Mother-of-the-Bride (or Groom) or bridesmaids dresses. Complete ensembles from veil to toes.

Valerie’s Treasure Chest – Unique Boutique is so much more than a place to shop. Valerie and Ashton delight in being personal shoppers for guests. Catalogs on hand make choices limitless and after hours appointments can be arranged. Prices are on point. Go ahead and try, but you will not find better bargains. 

My personal favorite feature at the boutique are the Headbands of Hope. For every tagged item sold, a headband is donated to a child with cancer. These headbands are perfect for summer and they are so cute. You can look fashionable while supporting a fabulous cause.
