Last weekend was our trip to JellyStone Park in Bostic, North Carolina.
We spent two nights in one of their Luxury Glamping Tents. One queen bed, queen sleeper sofa, twin bed, television, microwave, mini-fridge and table – we’re playin’ it fast and loose with the word tent, don’t ya think? The kids (and the adults) loved sleeping “in the woods.”
It was nice to have a place to store all of our leftover food. The main lodge wasn’t open, so we ordered food from the poolside cafe. The menu was pretty extensive. We found plenty of healthy options, as well as the food we actually wanted to eat (the not-so-healthy options). The pizza was cooked in a wood-oven stove. JP and Preston will tell you that their favorite meal was the ICE CREAM!
The Gem Mine was right up JP’s alley.
Saturday morning, we enjoyed a pancake breakfast, complete with sausage and eggs.
Chocolate Chip pancakes, for the win!
Preston spent most of his time at the pool and splash/water slide area.
The pool was very nice. And very large, as you can see. Preston made a few friends and played water basketball for hours.
JellyStone was kind enough to give the kids an Ultimate Fun Pass. Gem mining, ice cream and a meet-and-greet with Yogi Bear were a few of the activities offered.
There is a lot of construction going on and a handful of amenities are not yet open. Before you book your reservation, it would be a good idea to call ahead and check on the progress. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are ready to help out with any questions you have.
Thank you to JellyStone Park for hosting us! We can’t wait to see the park when it’s 100% complete!
