Travel Diaries|Camp JOY + Lake Keowee

We just wrapped up the final week of Camp Joy, NC. We are done until next Spring. On one hand I’m happy, but I’d be lying if I told you I’m not going to miss it terribly. It’s a lot of work and a lot of driving, but it’s also a WHOLE LOT of blessing.

Preston pretty much became part of the staff. I took this right before he and Austin climbed five million feet into the air to do the zip line. No, thank you.

These two precious souls sang “I Can Only Imgaine” at the end of the week program. Fortunately for you, I don’t have a photo of my face while this was going on. If you ask me, they should take this act on the road – we all need a little more humble in our lives.

Once camp was over, I hopped in the car and headed to Lake Keowee to enjoy a little R&R for the remainder of the weekend. It was nice to not work or have any responsibilities for a couple of days.

I hope you guys are having a great week so far. We are working on the coast for the next few days. If we don’t make it home, you’ll know it’s because we died in the South Carolina heat.
