JP at Carl Sandburg’s Home

I did not write a blog post for today. If you’ll pardon the expression, this has been the week from hell. My days and nights are mixed up and I’m falling way behind with my work. I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts for weeks, so I thought I’d go ahead and post it.

You can read my original post about the historic site here.

JP loved our visit to the Carl Sandburg Home last month. Actually, he loved the goats. I had to force him to leave the farm. Twice. We didn’t do the house tour. We promised to wait on Preston and he was in school. They both ask me almost every day when we’re going back.

The Osprey pack was perfect for this trip. It held all of JP’s books and notebooks for school. Thanks again, Mast General Store!

Did you guys know that Flat Rock, NC used to be called the Little Charleston of the Mountains? I’ve been amazed at the strong ties between the low country and the tiny town. I’ll be writing a post soon over on our Charleston blog, so stay tuned. I’ll share the link when it’s published.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, I LOVE where I live! The amazing truth is I’m learning something new every day about this beautiful spot at the foot of Paris Mountain.
