3 Hallmark Christmas Movies That Won’t Make You Gag

I went on a search for Hallmark Christmas movies that won’t make you gag.

I’m sad to report, they all made me gag.

Seriously. I couldn’t finish one of them. Gag may be a bit strong – I didn’t actually get sick, but my eye roll was strong. They’re all the same. Every. Last. One. The past couple of years, there’s been a royal theme. Everyone’s a prince, a king or a princess. Every now and then, the writers throw in a toy store that needs to be saved or a town celebration that won’t happen unless the main character reunites with his/her high school sweetheart.

Predictable. I’m bored just writing about it. Altho my dad loves them (yes, Jack LOVES the cheese factory), I just can’t stomach them anymore. Instead of listing Hallmark movies for you today, I am going to share my all-time favorite Christmas movies. I watch these three every year – sometimes more than once.

  1. Four Christmases If I re-marry, it will be to Vince Vaughan. I laugh just looking at him. He and Reese Witherspoon are adorable and I cannot get enough of the plot!
  2. The Holiday I feel the same way about this one. I love, love, love the cast. The chemistry is on point. Altho it’s fairly predictable, (and by fairly, I mean 100%), it will forever be a favorite.
  3. A Christmas Kiss Netflix kicked this one to the curb this year and I’m not okay. While it did start out on the Hallmark channel, it breaks the corny mold. I’ll admit, it took me a minute or twenty to get used to the main guy. His face was a little too Gaston for me, but I eventually fell in love. The main girl is precious and makes up for the time lost trying to love his face.

I hope this helps to kick-start your movie watching binge. For my die-hard Hallmark fans, I still might have a little crush on Snow Bride. If you’ve not seen it, it’s not a waste of time and definitely doesn’t trigger the gag reflex.

As you read this, I’m freezin’ my tush off in Indianapolis. Stay tuned for some fun Christmas travel footage!
