Happy Snapshots

Thank you for being patient while I stepped away from the blog for a little while.

We had a couple of family members in the hospital who needed ’round the clock care. Unfortunately, I had to cross something off my To-Do list. I knew I would be overwhelmed and not able to plan content. If I was a good blogger, I would plan posts far enough in advance that it wouldn’t matter. Maybe one day I’ll get there? Don’t answer that.

Thankfully, things are calming down and we’re settling back into a routine. <Insert praise hands>

Just so you know,  we’re still alive. In fact, some of us are really happy…

I took these photos of JP on one of our walks through downtown Greenville (his favorite thing to do). I don’t remember what we were laughing at, but I remember exactly how it made me feel.

Living between the hospital and home, we needed all hands on deck these past few weeks. This family of mine? Not just the ones under our roof – they show up.

Even though we were trudging through a valley, we were together. During a time when I should have been uncomfortable, scared and crazy, I’ve never felt more at peace. There really is strength in numbers.

I wish I could bottle up that feeling and save it for our next trip to the trenches.

Thank you, family (and friends who are family) for being there. You know who you are. I’m SO thankful we don’t have to do this life alone!
