Weekend Wrap Up

It might be easier for me to blog as I go along. It’ll force me to be a little more consistent. And by a little, I mean a lot.

We celebrated my dad’s birthday this weekend. I won’t inundate you with all the mushy words. You guys know how much he’s loved under this roof. Naturally, he wanted tacos on Friday night! Willy Taco is our go-to for tacos. The food is on point, but the atmosphere is what we love most.

We sliced into this baby two nights in a row. Thank you, Publix, for your icing!

Our friends, Megan + John, launched their new flower business on Saturday. Those who know me know I’ve never had a green thumb. I’ve never even said the words, green thumb. I’m no flower child.

But friendship + family. Those are most definitely my thing. I love supporting the people I love as they pursue the things that they love. Unfortunately, it rained on their parade (altho they sold out). In the future, you’ll be able to watch their cute little flower car pop up all over Greenville! The flowers are stunning and you can create your bouquet stem by stem. Or, if you’re like me and have no idea how to make a bouquet, they’ll do it for you. Be sure to follow them on social media (@shoppefieldssouth) to keep up with their itinerary! (You can also follow Megan here).

Later that same day, we hit Main Street to mine for gems – one of JP’s favorite past times.

The rest of the weekend was pretty chill. My sister made dinner for everyone Saturday night for dad’s birthday. We sang to him and the boys made cards.

I loved Sunday. I found a quote in my bible by Max Lucado that I thought I’d share.

Read that again.

When it’s all said and done, only this one thing matters.

Happy Monday, y’all! We’re taking school on the road a few days this week, so stay tuned…
