Timberdoodle Review|24 Hour History Graphic Novels

The only thing misleading about this post is the title. Teachers and homeschool families, you will definitely use these novels for longer than 24 hours!

The five book set , part of the 4th grade curriculum, is well suited for older learners too. My middle school son loved them.

The pages are colorful, and the stories are well written. Graphic novels typically aren’t my favorite, but these are educational and packed full of information.

As a parent (and teacher), my favorite parts came at the end of each book…

The Cast of Characters page shines a spotlight on all the main characters.

The Find Out More section leaves you with books, video and DVD suggestions to enhance your learning experience.

Additional ideas:

We turned each book into a unit of study. Most of them are divided into sections, so we read one section a day. I printed off word searches, and other worksheets pertaining to each subject. We also watched documentaries. I didn’t share a photo, but there are glossary words too – perfect for spelling tests and vocabulary practice.

I, along with my homeschool crew, highly recommend 24 Hour History novels!
