We Believe

* I wrote this post a few months ago, but completely forgot about it. I decided to go ahead and post it. Clearly it meant something to me at the time.*

I’m sitting in church writing up this post. Before you judge me, we have two services now. I sing with the praise team, so I attend both services.

This post is less about the sermon topic and more about the song prior to the message.

“We Believe” by the Newsboys.

I’ve heard the song before. Our team has sung it many times. But today. Today the words hit differently.

Maybe because of everything going on in the world. Or maybe because I’m sitting here dressed in my Sunday best, yet full of anxiety on the inside.

I’d say we’re definitely living in times of desperation. The words resonated in my spirit, filling me with so much peace.

I’m hoping they’ll do the same for you. The world stinks right now, but today served as a timely reminder that…

I believe in God the Father.

I believe in Jesus Christ.

I believe in the Holy Spirit.

And He’s giving me new life.
