The Jackson Five

I’ve not shared an update on our little Jackson in a while. Here ya go…

Five Fun Facts About Jackson:

  • He’s always happy. Literally the easiest baby on planet earth. He’s not even really a baby anymore. Nineteen months going on twelve years old. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we’re doing, he’s always smiling, ready to entertain.
  • He’s a genius. He knows some of his colors – red, green, yellow, purple, blue, and orange. Sometimes he calls the color orange “cheese.” He remembers everything you show or tell him. He “roll calls.” If you’ve ever met him, he’ll add your name to the list and recite it at the most inopportune time. 😆 Like when he’s supposed to be taking a nap. He talks in sentences and can almost count to ten.
  • He loves his movies. Currently on rotation, we have Monsters Inc., Monsters University, Toy Story, Alvin & the Chipmunks, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, and Cars.
  • He’s a Nature lover. If Jackson’s awake, he wants to be outside. Rocks, dirt, puddles, sidewalk chalk, baseballs (or bee-ball), scooters, paint, flowers – he loves it all. Anytime we go out in the yard, he asks for the blanket. I spread it out on the grass, he plops down and says “lunch.” Picnics are his love language. Oh and hiking! The kid loves a good trail. He fits right in with our boys.
  • He eats like a teenager. Don’t eat around him unless you plan on sharing. A few of his favorite foods include: yogurt, cheese, green beans (or brean greens), grapes, bananas, veggie smoothies, applesauce, bacon, pancakes (man-cakes), and toast – not a complete list!
  • Our whole family is in love. To know him is to adore him.
  • The bond he’s formed with JP and Preston is unbreakable.
  • We are so blessed and thank God every day for Jackson Douglas!
