Life Lately

It’s been a minute since my last post. We’ve been busy. My brain is all over the place, but I wanted to hop in and share a photo journal of the past couple of weeks.

Prior to our Dollywood trip, mom and I spent a couple of days in Charleston. I can’t tell you how amazing it felt to be back. Our friends at Holy City Hospitality have graciously welcomed us back into their media family! You know what that means…
We’ll be bringing you delicious low country content again. This Shrimp Cocktail appetizer can be found at Victor’s Seafood & Steak. I shared with mom, even though I didn’t want to. I’ll share the whole meal in another post. It deserves its own.
We stayed in this fabulous historic inn off King Street. She deserves her own post too! Stay tuned.
We’ve partnered with Explore Charleston this fall to visit Charleston’s most beloved spots. I’m fascinated by the historic house tours.
The temps have finally dropped into the bearable range. Furman University, here we come!
JP, Jackson, and I enjoyed the campus one day last week. (Preston was resting up for his baseball game). Soon, walking around the lake will be part of our morning routine.
We’ve added a new member to our mix a few days a week. Jackson is happy to have a friend!

Our homeschool fellowship at church has begun. We were not prepared for the immediate growth! We went from four kids to almost thirty in two weeks. It’s a beautiful issue to have, but boy do we have a lot of work to do!

Typically fall means cool temperatures. Not in South Carolina! It feels great in the am and great in the evenings. During the day, we’re still visiting the splash pad in Unity Park.

BOOK UPDATE: Things are moving along. I just turned back in the first round of edits. Being a children’s picture book, there weren’t many. I also submitted my vision for the illustrations. I’m hoping everything runs smoothly from here. I’ve contacted a company about having t’shirts printed. I want to market them along with the book. I’ll share more about that later! I’m SUPER excited!

I hope all of you are having a great month so far. I don’t know that I’ve ever been more excited for a weekend to arrive!
