The Rest of Thanksgiving Week

I know I promised a tour of the inside of our VRBO. Sorry. I had time. I had lots of time. That’s the point. For the first time in a long time, I had time. It was a gift. I was careful not to take it for granted. During this week long trip, I probably took fifteen pictures. There were times when I didn’t even know where my phone was. It was delightful.

I read a (whole) book. I rode the golf cart with mom, Laurie, and Preston. I sat on the beach. We played Around The World four million times on the basketball court, and putt-putt three nights. The best part? I slept late. Every day.

We ate breakfast around 10:30-11 every day!

I technically had nothing but time. I just chose not to spend it staring at my screen.

Here are a few photos I did take…

This was my little room – my little cubby hole. It was perfect. As you can see, it’s super small. There’s one other bedroom like it, and then a master bedroom that was the size of a normal bedroom. VRBO says the house sleeps eight. That is a stretch. The four of us were very comfortable.

Communication with the host was excellent. The property was cozy and very clean. We are planning on booking again SOON! (Click here to see the listing).

We ended up driving home late Saturday night to avoid Sunday morning traffic. As hard as it is to leave, I was ready to get home and see JP. Meanwhile, JP tried his best to talk us into staying. 🙄 In his words, “I would really like one more day of peace and quiet.” Too bad.

We rolled in like a storm and kicked off our normal routine bright and early this morning.

Can’t wait to attack my Christmas in Greenville Bucket List with my boys! 💚
