I’m sitting here in an (almost) empty condo. I mean, it’s not really empty. Me, mom and both boys are here, but considering we just said goodbye to two other adults and four children, it feels empty.
And I don’t mind telling you, I’m a little sad. As much as I crave the quiet and time to rest and read, there’s something about a thousand little voices filling the air. Or at least it seems like a thousand.
So yeah. I miss them and they’ve only been gone a couple of hours. The good news is, we make a habit of taking road trips like this one. Hopefully it won’t be long before the tribe is together again!
We drove down to James Island in Charleston to see the Festival of Lights. If you’ve not been, I encourage you to go. It’s not something that can be explained. I will share all of my pics this week, but here is one of the kiddos (minus Brayden) with Santa…
It was FUH-REEZING! Make sure to check the weather report beforehand and dress accordingly! I’ll also share some tips on travel, parking, and what to take with you in the park.
Before everyone left this morning, we had an early birthday celebration for Jesus. Lynne brought cupcakes/cake and a Christmas craft for us to enjoy.
For all you parents out there looking for activities to do with your restless littles on Christmas vacation – HERE YOU GO! It was simple and took a pretty long time to complete – especially if you let them do it themselves. Afterwards, you can microwave popcorn and watch a holiday movie together. If you really wanted to get festive, add red and green food coloring to your popcorn! The kids had fun and it didn’t break the bank. #goals
Happy Wednesday, guys!
