st. patrick’s day, baseball+ the north main soda shop

IMG_2578Preston’s spring ball has officially begun. Our Saturday morning was spent at the field.

IMG_2581JP cares very little about baseball, but he was very thankful to see the Pink Mama’s Ice Cream truck roll up!

IMG_2589Our St. Patty’s Day shenanigans consisted of baseball, lunch and a pretty long nap.

Speaking of lunch, have you guys been to the Northgate Soda Shop on N. Main in downtown Greenville? We ate lunch there after the game and I felt a little like I was on the set of a really old television show.

IMG_2609The entire shop is filled with antique items and the walls are lined with old pictures of Greenville.

IMG_2602Homemade Pimento Cheese on fries. It might not be GOOD for you, but it was oh so good.

IMG_2603I had the homemade chicken salad, toasted.

IMG_2606Preston loved the chicken fingers. My only regret is that we didn’t have time to stick around for dessert – I definitely need to try one of their milkshakes. Or a Sundae. Or maybe both?!

I hope you guys had a great weekend. It’s rainy outside, (and a Monday), which made it really difficult to get out of bed this morning. The kids cooperated, so thankfully our morning ran pretty smoothly.

Cheers to a productive day!
