Saturday at Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery

Happy Wednesday, everyone! As you read this, we are on the road once again with SC State Parks. If you’d like to join us, hop over to Instagram and follow along in our Stories (@acbeam). I’m pretty excited about where we’re heading today!

This past Saturday, Preston and I decided to spend the majority of the day on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. In the past, we’ve started in Travelers Rest (we love Travelers Rest) but this time I thought it would be fun to begin at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery.

IMG_1792I can’t get over these temperatures. It was the perfect day to ride bikes.

IMG_1794I really enjoyed this part of the trail. Especially now – the leaves are falling and they crunched under our bike tires. It sounded like fall.

IMG_1800The bike shop next to the cafe has a bike ramp set up. Of course, Preston had to try it out.

IMG_1796When it was all said and done, we rode about five miles, so we took several water breaks.

We stopped halfway through and spent some time at the cafe. I was amazed by all the activity. Believe it or not, this was our first Saturday at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe – I’m still trying to figure out why. It might be our new favorite place.

IMG_1807Soda with REAL cane sugar tastes so much better than regular soda! I love their Cherry Cola.

IMG_1814Preston ordered a pizza with mixed cheeses. It did not disappoint!
